Walgreens Deals 3/1-3/7

WALGREENS DEALS I got this week:
ESC = Easy Saver Catalog located in the front of the store
RR = Register Rewards, coupons printed at checkout for use like cash on your next shopping trip
  • Starbucks Chocolate Truffles: 2/$10 - $6 coupon in the March ESC and 2 $1 off coupons locted in the blinkie box on the shelf by the candy
  • $25 in Johnson's Baby Wash (I spent $27.66 I think) - $5 in coupons and I received $10 back in RR cash for my next shopping trip. So 8 bottles of J&J baby wash/shampoo for less than $13 total about $1.65 per bottle.
  • Blink Tears Eye Drops, $7.99 you get a $8 RR coupon for next time, plus use $2 coupon from this Sunday's paper and you MAKE $2.01 after everything
  • Tide Laundry Detergent $5.99 you get a $1 RR and I used a .35 off coupon so $4.64 for the small bottle
  • Crest MaxFresh Toothpaste $3.49 you get a $3.50 RR plus there is a $1 off coupon (see link in previous Walgreens post) making you $1.01 on this item

There are lots of other deals this week to as the new ESC is out with mail in rebates for a number of items as well. Look over the ad carefully! I'll post more monthy rebate deals later this month but see the previous post for the upcoming sales.

Pick N Save Deals 3/1-3/4

Ad available online at www.picknsave.com
Not much here this week, I'm taking the opportunity to shop at the other stores in town this week, there is a nice BOGO section on the back of the Ad but the only thing I have coupon match ups for are the Pillsbury reads (www.pillsbury.com for coupons) and the Gorton's Fish but only the "fish portions" are part of the sale, not the fillets...I'm not too sure I want to know what "portions" of a fish are. :)

Other Deals:
  • Kraft Mac & Cheese coupon on front page of ad for .39, limit 2
  • 85% lean Gr. Beef $1.99 per pound
  • Jacks Pizza 3/$9 (not the best deal but the best for this week)
  • Bananas .49 a pound
  • Tyson Bagged Chicken Nuggets $5.99 per bag, there was a coupon recently in the paper for .75 off

That is about all I saw this week that is a "best" deal.

Trigs Deals 3/1-3/7

A lot of the deals here are the same as Cty Market. So refer to those match ups for the coupon links to items you see in the flyer. I did get a couple more items with the coupon mailer at Trigs.

Coupon mailer & Flyer coupons:
  • Banquet Chicken Pot Pies 4/$3.98 make perfect lunches for hubby
  • Hunts Diced Tomatos .88, limit 2 --these are the large cans!
  • Hunts Ketchup 20oz .88, limit 2 --they ran out of Sunday, hoping to get this later in the week
  • Cantaloupes were 2/$3.98 but were not very ripe, not sure if it will ripen up well or not so I only bought one.
  • I did get some Campbell's Chunky Soup with a coupon expiring today: On sale for $2.29 per can (not the best price) and a .50 off of 4 coupon still made them over $2 a can but hubby loves this brand.

County Market Deals 3/1-3/7

These are the best deals for me, you may find others but you'll get the idea of how I match items up with coupons from this list. Just a heads up Cty Market is TERRIBLE about accepting coupons, they will only accept printed ones from www.smartsource.com and multiple coupons will often beep, even though you are using them correctly.

Coupon Mailer Deals Double up a store coupon with manufacturer's coupon:
  • 2/$4 Frosted Flakes use a $1/2 from www.coupons.com (if they will let you) or the $1.50/2 from a recent newspaper insert.
  • 4/$3 Totinos Pizza Rolls use up to four .35 off coupons from recent papers, there are also online ones to print

Weekly Ad Deals:

  • General Mills Cereals use the $4 off four boxes coupon from the flyer (available in the store) and any number of coupons from recent newspapers. Also Total and Cheerios (you can use this on the flavored ones too) available at www.smartsource.com you will save a total of $6.10 or more on four boxes by combining all the coupons.
  • Barber Stuffed Chicken Entrees $3.99 sale with a $1 off coupon at www.smartsource.com
  • Lloyds BBQ Tubs on sale for $3.99 with $1 coupons from newspapers

There are many more, but for me these were the best deals I have seen around town lately.

What's on the Thrifty Menu this week?

Here is a sample of how we eat on a budget, yes we do some prepackaged foods, but I try to mix them with whole foods and fresh produce. We have a family of two adults, two preschoolers and a toddler.

Monday
Lloyds BBQ Chicken (on sale for $3.99 - $1.00 coupon = $2.99 and will leave leftovers for lunch)
Potato Rolls (One sale from Cty Market last week, $2 for 12) = about $1.00 for six rolls
Salad w/dressing (BOGO from PNS $3.49 for two bags which will last six meals) + 1/2 Cucumber (.45) = about $1
Total Meal Cost: About $5

Tuesday
Hamber Helper ($1 on sale - .33 coupon) = .67
1 lb 80% Gr. Beef on sale for $1.98 a pound
Salad (same as above) $1 + raw carrots/dip for kiddos about $1
Total Meal Cost: About $5

Wednesday
Chicken Breasts Marinaded in Teriayki Sauce (chicken breasts were $1.99 per pound, sauce is from Tastefully Simple which is pricey, I'll estimate $2 worth of sauce and $2 worth of chicken) = $4
Homemade Fried Rice = $1
Frozen Veggie Mix (on sale for $1 - .50 coupon) = .50
Total Meal Cost: About $5.50

Thursday - Saturday we are out of town so I am not Menu Planning for those days.

Sunday
Crockpot Roast (they were BOGO at PNS two weeks ago making them $5 each) = $5 with leftovers
Carrots, Celery, Onions & Potatoes in pot (hard to estimate, I'll say $2.50 worth
Rice-A-Roni (on sale for $1 - .33 coupon) = .67
Total Meal Cost: About $8 with leftovers for 2-3 lunches of another dinner
